長白山南坡的豐富的旅游資源

地處中朝邊境的長白山南景區(qū)2008年8月6日正式對外開放，這里原生態(tài)旅游資源豐富，是長白山最后開發(fā)的處女地，它標(biāo)志著長白山在中國境內(nèi)的北、西、南三個(gè)景區(qū)已全面開放旅游。南景區(qū)為人類進(jìn)行科學(xué)考察、生態(tài)旅游、扮清碰休閑度正雹假、攝影采風(fēng)、繪畫寫生、房車露營、邊境旅游、中朝界河鴨綠江源頭漂流等項(xiàng)目提供了多樣化的依托內(nèi)容。隨著海拔高度的增加，景區(qū)內(nèi)的植被也由下至上依次呈現(xiàn)四個(gè)垂直分布帶：針葉闊葉林混交帶、紅松為主的針葉林帶、岳樺林和松樺相棲林帶、高山苔原河谷濕地帶，是歐亞大陸從溫帶到極地主要植被類型的典型縮影，而最后是裸露的火山灰石帶。

長白山南景區(qū)內(nèi)，可開發(fā)的旅游資源十分豐富，它包括全景的長白山天池，高山苔原河谷濕地、火山炭化木遺址、鴨綠江大峽谷等十二個(gè)著名的原生態(tài)景觀，眾多的已開發(fā)和正在開發(fā)的景點(diǎn)。千年炭化林遺址和高山苔原河谷濕地是亞洲僅有的自然景觀，而鴨綠江大峽谷南北全長20公里，東西寬200多米，峽谷深達(dá)170米，恢弘雄壯、撼人心魄。

望天鵝風(fēng)景區(qū)是國家AA級旅游區(qū)，現(xiàn)已被國務(wù)院批準(zhǔn)為“鴨綠江上游國家級自然保護(hù)區(qū)”，且正在申報(bào)“中國吉林長白山望天鵝火山國家地質(zhì)公園”。望天鵝風(fēng)景區(qū)位于長白山腹地吉林省長白朝鮮族自治縣十五道溝，這里古樹參天，花草競秀，怪石嶙峋，是以奇石飛瀑見長的峽谷望天鵝山海拔2051.4米，是東北第二高峰，距離天池32公里，兩坐火山構(gòu)成長白山脈的峰脊。望天鵝山嶺是由一個(gè)巨大的中心式噴發(fā)和溢流的玄武質(zhì)火山錐，它原來是一個(gè)巨大的破火山口，溝內(nèi)因破火山作用形成，火山地址遺跡和景觀非常獨(dú)特。
